Ventnor Day will feature music including Ventnor Comic Jazz Band

This year’s Ventnor Day will be bigger and better than ever, organizers say.

Performers will include The Ventnor Darlings, Greg and the Bears, The Hillmans, The Slow Cats, Moonshine Border Morris, Andy Roberts, Bethan John, Lucan, Tink Beadle and Ventnor Theater Group.

Food and beverages are provided by Crave Ice Cream, Lady Scarlett’s Tea Parlor, Stripped Burgers, Sweet Charlie’s Crepes and Tee in The Park.

Alongside the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary there will be stalls from around 50 community groups and voluntary sector organisations, as well as stalls from around 50 local businesses, artisans and artists.

All the fun takes place at Ventnor Park from 12pm to 6pm.

Ventnor Mayor Steph Toogood will open the event.

She said: “Ventnor Day showcases the best of our city, from our rich and diverse voluntary and community organizations to our artists, artisans and some of our most popular musicians and food outlets.

“It’s a great day out for all ages in the scenic surroundings of Ventnor Park and Putting Green – and a chance to raise money for Ventnor Carnival.

“Ventnor Day is a wonderful opportunity to support the local community, socialize and enjoy the Ventnor Vibe!”
