Josh Groban announces tour with Preservation Hall Jazz Band

Josh Groban, singer, songwriter and multi-platinum global superstar, announced the Good morning america the launch of his Harmony Summer 2022 tour with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. This tour will be Groban’s first time performing songs for a live audience from his latest album, Harmony, released in November 2020 via Warner Records. Special guests joining them for this tour are violinist/vocalist Lucia Micarelli and singer-songwriter Eleri Ward.

The tour will take place primarily at outdoor venues and will kick off Friday, June 17 in Detroit at the Pine Knob Music Theater and visit more than 25 cities across the country before concluding at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, August 2. .

“After too long of feeling torn from my favorite part of my musical life, live performance, it is with immense excitement and gratitude that I announce that I will be back doing what I do best and what I love. the most with the Harmony Tour,” says Groban. “This will be more than a concert for me…it will be a celebration of connecting with my friends, fans and colleagues who have been my anchors over the past two years and throughout my career. To improve the safety of all participants and the crew, everyone is stepping up their efforts to inform the public about safety measures. To better serve attendees, Josh Groban’s tour team will be fully immunized and wear masks at all times.

Groban kicked off 2021 with the release of Luxury Harmony, which featured six additional renditions of timeless classics and performed a special live concert on Valentine’s Day. Last November, Josh also celebrated the 20th anniversary of his self-titled debut album with the release of the 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, featuring two new bonus tracks, “Roma Nun Fa’ La Stupida Stasera”, the first-ever studio demo by Groban, and “Mia Per Semper”, the bonus track from the original Japanese edition. To wrap up 2021, Groban performed an encore presentation of their first-ever holiday concert on December 17. The performance included songs from her critically acclaimed and six-times platinum holiday album, Christmasas well as a few fan favorites.

Classical musician Lucia Micarelli is recognized worldwide for being a featured soloist with Groban, Jethro Tull, Chris Botti and for her starring role in HBO’s Treme. Eleri Ward is a New York-based actor, singer, and musician. In 2021, she recorded and produced her full-length indie-folk album Sondheim, A perfect little death, in his closet. After gaining a viral following on TikTok, it was released by Ghostlight Records. She studied songwriting at Berklee College of Music before transferring to and graduating from the Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Musical Theater and majoring in Songwriting.
