JAZZ GROUP QU HAWK EXPRESS WILL HOST AN ANNUAL FALL CONCERT

The University of Quincy Music Department will host its Hawk Express Jazz Band Fall Concert on Sunday, October 23 at 3 p.m. at the Connie Niemann Center for Music located on QU’s North Campus (17^e and Chemin du Séminaire). The concert is free and open to the public. The group is under the direction of Dr. Christine Damm, DMA, dean of the School of Fine Arts and Communication.

The Hawk Express Jazz Band will perform a wide range of jazz tunes including The chicken, Pearl necklace, #1 No pickles, and Birks Works. Senior Music Education major Cody Collins will be featured on the feature Trumpet, feels so Alright, a track made famous by Chuck Mangione. Senior Kassidy Venvertloh, tenor saxophone, will be featured on the beautiful ballad midnight journey.
