BREAKING NEWS: Lego workshops, scavenger hunts, jazz music and DJs are all coming to Kildare Village this summer

Kildare Village is launching a full summer program for families and children.

Enjoy a game of giant Jenga or let your little ones experiment with giant building blocks as part of a day exploring the village.

Get hands-on with building block workshops, exercise your brain with the Junior Einstein science program, or show off your strengths in family fitness classes.

Aspiring mini Sherlock Holmes will enjoy the daily treasure hunt trail, with clues appearing around every corner, and the chance to win a prize.

Meanwhile, the more creative can take part in the Project Fashion Academy run by designer Paul Alexander and his team.

Or, unleash your child’s creativity and let them learn a skill that will last a lifetime and gain hands-on experience in a fun and educational way at Kildare Village’s fashion design workshops for children and teenagers. All activities will take place on Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Family activities, the entertainment extends into the evenings as the Village comes to life every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., all summer long, with the help of DJs Marty Guilfoyle and Emma Power, as well as pianist David Owens and musicians jazz bands The New Brass Kings and Sax the Beats. Soak up the sounds of summer as you enjoy summery styles, bright colors, bold patterns and sunny accessories from your favorite brands.

Enhance your shopping experience with an appointment with the stylists in the Personal Shopping Suites and benefit from personalized advice from the expert team, or lighten your load with Hands-Free Shopping, available at The Concierge, with your bags of groceries stored to be retrieved at the end of your visit.

Relax and unwind as the sun sets with food and drinks on one of the many open-air terraces. With restaurants such as Avoca Café, Dunne & Crescenzi, Sprout & Co and Saba, there’s something to satisfy every palate in Kildare Village this summer – each restaurant serves a varied summer menu with tasty options for all the family .

There will also be a series of eye-catching art installations throughout the village.

One of Ireland’s best known female DJs from FM104 & Beat 102 103 will entertain guests with her summer sounds.

New Brass Kings: July 14 and August 11

This much-loved jazz band will guarantee good vibes in Kildare Village this summer and will make you feel like you’re walking down Bourbon Street in New Orleans!

Sax the Beats: July 21

If two jazz weekends aren’t enough, enjoy a third weekend with Sax the Beats. Trust us, there will be dancing all over the Village with this modern day jazz.

David Owens: July 28 and August 18
4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

“Piano man” David Owens has performed in more than 30 cities in Europe. He is now back in Ireland where he has become a familiar face to locals on Dublin’s Grafton Street, one of the world’s most famous streets for live music.

Marty Guilfoyle: August 4
5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The famous Irish DJ has almost 500,000 followers on TikTok where he posts essential remixes and mash-ups for summer days spent outdoors. Marty will bring a fun festival atmosphere to the village of Kildare at The Terrace.
